The culmination of the year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim has arrived in Elder Scrolls Online with the release today of the Markarth story zone and DLC alongside the free Update 28. The update and DLC are live now on PC and Stadia, and will come to consoles on November 10th.
The Markarth DLC takes players to the wilds of the Reach to gather a band of unlikely allies and confront a Vampire Lord and his ancient army. Within the DLC and free base game update, players will explore the Reach and Arkthzand Caverns zones, and experience new quests, characters, challenges, Vateshran Hollows solo arena, Item Set Collection system, and more!
Update 28 is a free base game patch that brings new features and bug fixes to all players of Elder Scrolls Online. Included in this update is the Item Set Collection, a new feature that allows players to add hundreds of ESO’s item sets to their collections and reconstruct them. This allows players to free up inventory bank and coffer space, since almost every set in Tamriel can now be safely stored in Collections. You can find out more about that here.
The Markarth DLC brings two new zones to explore in the Reach and Arkthzand Caverns, each with new quests, characters and challenges. There are new rewards, including item sets, achievements and collectibles. The DLC also packs a new solo arena, Vateshran Hollows.
