The Tomb Raider reboot of 2013 was my dark horse game of the year, as it was for many other people. It was impressive and it struck a nice balance on gameplay and challenges that drew in many new fans to the series, including myself. I had always respected this series and I had tried… Continue reading Review: Rise of The Tomb Raider

Just Cause 3 Review
It's all about getting lost and getting crazy in an open world sandbox and being encouraged and rewarded to do it as insanely as you possibly can. How can you not like that?
Fallout 4 Review
It’s been a long time in coming… too long… but at last a new Fallout game is upon us and it’s very good. The good news is: A review like this is a mere formality since many of us have already broken the 100 hour figure on this. What more need be said, right?
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review
Back when it came out I and many other people considered Black Flag a watershed for the series and rightfully. Simply put: This is the next watershed and if they can continue to crank out games like this at this level of quality the I hope they making these games for as long as they sell because I'll never get tired of something like this. I'll welcome a game like this every year with wide open arms.
WWE 2K16 Review
My confidence is now restored in this series and I'm excited for the direction it's headed in. In a number of ways these games are better than the real life product because we as fans can make the product the way we want it
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Review
What do you get when you cross the best elements out of a Grand Theft Auto game, the Metal Gear series, stealth games like Splinter Cell, and for grins an almost MMO lite online mode for a bonus? You get Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain which is easily in contention for Game of the… Continue reading Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Review
The Witcher III – Wild Hunt Review
This gaming series has been a frustration for me. Frustrating because I have played and tried each game in this series and did my darnedest to fall in love with the games and just couldn't because some of the gameplay and combat mechanics were not to my liking. I just couldn't get on board and… Continue reading The Witcher III – Wild Hunt Review
Assassin’s Creed Unity Review
I deliberately held off on doing this review because very few if any outlets have bothered to give this game a fair shake post patches. The bulk of what you see out there is either 1.0 or 1.1 when the game was in a far worse state. As of the date I write this: January… Continue reading Assassin’s Creed Unity Review
Alien Isolation Review
When Alien: Isolation was first announced the reaction of the gaming community was muted with cautious optimism at best coming off of a needless disaster like Colonial Marines that really should have been a fantastic game but unforgivably wasn't. As more footage and information leaked out the sense of optimism grew in spite of itself… Continue reading Alien Isolation Review
Sniper Elite 3 Review
This series is a welcome breath of fresh air against run and gun shooting and you can see from my previous reviews that I'm overall enthusiastic about this series despite some quibbles and annoyances which, unfortunately, remain for this new game. Being a sequel this means I have to be a little less forgiving this time around since there weren't enough fundamental improvements that needed to happen.
