Tonight, All Elite Wrestling presents the first-ever Battle of the Belts, a one-hour special event LIVE from Bojangles Arena in Charlotte, NC.
Here is the card for tonight’s broadcast:
- – Dr. Britt Baker defends the AEW Women’s Championship against Riho
- – Dustin Rhodes battles Sammy Guevara for the Interim TNT Championship
- – Ricky Starks defends the FTW Championship against Matt Sydal
TNT Champion Cody Rhodes was originally set to defend his title against Sammy but had to be pulled from the show due to medical reasons. Dustin is stepping in his place, and the match will crown an interim champion.
Battle of the Belts airs LIVE tonight at 7pm CT on TNT!
Stinger’s View: While I’m sure it’ll be an entertaining hour and a good show, it’s a pretty weak line-up. This is supposed to be AEW’s “Clash of the Champions” like special, but on paper it doesn’t feel that way. Nevertheless, I’m excited for Baker vs. Riho even though the finish seems rather obvious.
