Roman Reigns Test Positive for Covid

Tonight’s WWE Day 1 main event featuring Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar will not happen. Roman has announced that he tested positive for Covid-19.

I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.

Brock Lesnar has been added to the WWE Championship match, making it a Fatal 5-Way match.

Stinger’s View: Huge blow for WWE and what they wanted Day 1 to be (a big annual PPV). While a positive test doesn’t necessarily mean much, here’s hoping Roman has a speedy and full recovery assuming it isn’t a false positive.
