Tribes of Midgard Launches July 27th

Tribes of Midgard, the cooperative action RPG from Norsfell, has a release date of July 27th for PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam.

Thrive in the wilderness and become a Viking legend in order to defend their village against enemy forces during Ragnarök.

Tribes of Midgard is set in a world full of dark creatures, hidden gods and abundant materials to be uncovered to use in building structures and crafting new weapons.

Players can explore the world solo or in a tribe with up to nine other players.

Play together as a Viking clan living in a village that harbors the Seed of Yggdrasil; a tree that holds the promise of everlasting life.

Tribes of Midgard Gameplay Trailer:

Be prepared to protect the delicate tree of your village from the grim shadows that prey upon its power.

Giants seek to destroy Midgard and fulfill the prophecy of the end of the world; stop them from destroying the Seed of Yggdrasil.

When nightfall comes, join with your tribe to fight off the legions of Hel and protect your village. You must survive and thrive for as long as you can.

Patriot Position: This looks very interesting and I’ll be keeping an eye on it. I dig Norse mythology a lot. Tribes of Midgard is also budget priced at $19.99, which is of course always nice. The gameplay in the trailer looks promising. Tribes of Midgard won the 2017 Ubisoft Indie Series and is also being published by Gearbox Publishing.

The art-style is also pleasant, although it certainly isn’t unique. As a survival RPG, it seems like it should have good replayability or grind, especially if you have a tribe with multiple friends.
