Back 4 Blood, the latest from Turtle Rock Studios (creators of Left 4 Dead), is set to release in late October.
However, players will be able to get their hands on the game in early August when the beta hits.
If you’ve pre-ordered the game then you will get the early access beta that begins on August 5th and ends on August 9th.
Back 4 Blood will enter open beta for all placers on August 12th. This open beta will last through August 16th.
You’ll want to sign up for the open beta on the Back 4 Blood site here. Despite it being an “open” beta, Turtle Rock does state that spaces are limited. This means not everyone who registers will get access.
The beta will be available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC and will feature full cross-play and cross-progression.

Patriot’s Position: I’m certainly interested in it and the gameplay from the alpha looks promising. I never got into the Left 4 Dead games, but I was a PS3 gamer that didn’t place PC at the time and those games weren’t available on PlayStation.
I don’t know what’s up with calling this an open beta if you need to sign up and might not get access due to “limited spaces.” An open beta is just a beta that appears on the storefront that you download and play with no action required. Closed betas have limited spacing and require sign-ups.
