Destiny 2 Iron Banner God Roll Guide – Riiswalker

This season, Season of the Splicer, Bungie has added two new weapons and reissued two year one weapons to the Iron Banner loot pool.

One of these, that a lot of you are going to be grinding for, is brand new kinetic shotgun Riiswalker.

Riiswalker will mostly appeal to PvP players, and as such that’s what this god roll guide is geared towards. I will, however, include a PvE roll at the end.

You can acquire Riiswalker as post game drops during the Iron Banner, as a reward from Iron Banner bounties, or by turning in Iron Banner tokens to Lord Saladin.

UPDATE 5/18: There is an issue with the new Iron Banner weapons, Riiswalker and Archon’s Thunder, and they are unavailable from Iron Banner engrams and bounties. Currently the only way to get these weapons is from the Iron-Handed Diplomacy quest.

Before we begin, you can check out our other Destiny 2 weapon god roll guides here.

Riiswalker PvP God Roll

For PvP, this is the roll I’m recommending:

Riiswalker God Roll Perk Guide

Our goal here is to focus on Range.

So we have, reading left to right with the selected perks above:

  • Rifled Barrel – Increases Range, decreases Handling
  • Accurized Rounds – Increases Range
  • Quickdraw – Weapon can be drawn unbelievably fast
  • Iron Reach – Increases Range, decreases Stability
  • Range Masterwork

These perks get you the stats shown below:

Riiswalker God Roll Stats

Above all else, for PvP, I think you’re definitely going to want Iron Reach in the final node (because the hit to stability doesn’t matter on this) and Accurized Rounds.

I’m going to provide an alternative PvP roll too, one that will have less range but might be more consistent and balanced and if Quickdraw ever gets removed from all shotguns (not just the Aggressive Frames).

For Roll #2, we’ll swap Rifled Barrel for Full Choke (for consistency) or Corkscrew (for Range/Handling balance). We’ll also swap out Quickdraw for Surplus.

The above roll with Corkscrew will get you 91 Range and 81 Handling. With Full Choke, it’ll be 87 Range and 77 Handling.

Unless you’re just dead set on max range, you shouldn’t be disappointed if you get the God Roll (or a variation of Roll #2) with a Handling Masterwork instead of Range.

Riiswalker PvE God Roll

If for some reason you want to use this weapon in PvE, I’d recommend the following roll:

  • Corkscrew Rifling
  • Assault Mag (or Tactical Mag)
  • Surplus
  • Swashbuckler (or Demolitionist)
  • Range or Stability Masterwork

Unless you have bounties stored from previous Iron Banner’s and got lucky, your first chance to get (or begin farming for) Riiswalker is Tuesday, May 18th when the first Iron Banner of Season of the Splicer begins.
