WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night 1 Preview

Tonight, NXT takes over WrestleMania week with Night 1 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

Night 1 airs tonight on USA Network in the usual timeslot and will be the final episode of NXT on Wednesday night. Next week, NXT moves to Tuesday’s.

Here’s the announced card for Night 1:

Io Shirai defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Raquel Gonzalez in the main event.

The beast of NXT UK, WALTER, defends the NXT UK Championship against the Blackheart of NXT, Tommaso Ciampa.

New NXT Tag Team champions will be crowned tonight in a triple treat tag match. MSK takes on Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado del Fantasma.

Six men square off for the opportunity to challenge for the NXT North American Championship tomorrow during Night 2. In the Gauntlet Eliminator, it’ll be Leon Ruff, Isaiah Scott, Cameron Grimes, Bronson Reed, Dexter Lumis and LA Knight.

Here are the rules for the Gauntlet Eliminator:

• Two men will start in the ring.
• Every four minutes, another competitor will enter.
• The only way to be eliminated is via pinfall or submission.
• The last man remaining will challenge Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Title on Night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

We’ll find out who the best technical wrestler in NXT is as Pete Dunne squares off against Kushida.
