Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla releases on November 10th, but of course there will be plenty of additional content coming to the game in the months that follow.
Ubisoft has revealed the road map for post launch content, including the two major expansions included in the Season Pass and also free seasonal content for all players.
The $40 Season Pass includes the following:
EXPANSION 1 – WRATH OF THE DRUIDS (Spring 2021)
Explore the haunted wilds and beautiful landscapes of Ireland as you battle a druidic cult known as the Children of Danu. Conquer ring forts, master the art of smuggling, and gain the favor of Gaelic kings in a new open-world adventure.
EXPANSION 2 – THE SIEGE OF PARIS (Summer 2021)
Sail to the kingdom of Francia and engage the forces of Charles the Fat as you participate in the Vikings’ most daring conquest. Infiltrate the city of Paris, forge new alliances within its walls, and strike a blow that will shatter an empire.
BONUS MISSION – THE LEGEND OF BEOWULF (At Launch)
A mysterious beast is ravaging the English countryside, leaving telltale streaks of mold on its victims. Track the creature and discover the hidden story behind England’s first great epic. Available at launch.
All players will get access to the following free content:
The first Free Content will drop around the end of 2020 and will include the Yule Festival, which takes place in your Settlement.
There will also be free content drops in Spring, Summer and Fall of 2021.
Free content will include a Discovery Tour, making a return from Origins and Odyssey and new modes.
A new mode that will be coming is River Raids, which will build on the raiding mechanic and deliver “dynamic and challenging” raid experiences that are highly replayable.
There will also be Ranks for Jomsviking, which will allow you to create your lietuenants for your raiding crew as well as recruit lietuentants from your friends and the rest of the community. During the first season, your Jomsviking will be able to earn XP and rank up, and the higher their rank the more silver you’ll earn when they are recruited by other players (this kinda sounds like the Pawn feature from Dragon’s Dogma).
Also, each season will will come with new skills and abilities, weapons, gear, and cosmetic items.
