Patriot’s Playing: Diablo 3 & Titan Quest

It’s a been a while since I’ve done one of these posts, but I want to start back writing more and so here we are.

This week, I’m playing three games. Of course Destiny 2 is a given for me, and this week I plan on spending a little more time in the Haunted Forest since I didn’t really get to into it last week.

Outside of Destiny though, this week I’m continuing to play some Diablo 3. i’m playing some on my main character, the Demon Hunter I first began playing on a couple of years ago. I recently switched to the popular Unhallowed build and have been enjoying it tremendously although I am currently a glass cannon.

Speaking of glass cannon, I attempted a Greater Rift 74 and experienced possibly the worst spawn that I could’ve. My build does most of its damage to enemies at a distance, like at the very edge of the edge of the screen or off it, and I can’t take damage. Watch this video…

Literally had no chance.

Besides my Demon Hunter, I’m also slowly working on a seasonal Barb. I never really gave that class any attention during my previous playthroughs so I wanted to mix it up and do something different for a change.

Still very early into it, the character is only 36 or so. but I’ve largely been enjoying it though. I want to get the seasonal set for it since the whirlwind build looks like it’ll be a lot of fun in the later rifts.

I’m also playing through another ARPG, the remastered Titan Quest on PS4. It is as fun as ever, and I’ve always been a big fan of just about anything involving Greek and/or Egyptian mythology.

I’m still undecided on the type of character I want to ultimately make. I’ll have to research some quality builds. As I do in a lot of ARPG’s or just RPG’s in general with this type of setting, I made my character a woman and named her Xena. What can I say? I still love the Warrior Princess.

If you haven’t played Titan Quest before, you should definitely give it a go. It’s a ton of fun, but it is I suppose “outdated” in a lot of ways. But then again, that’s part of the games charm (it first released in 2006).

What games are you playing this week? Of course Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out Friday and that’s a HUGE release that many of you will no doubt be playing. I am looking forward to it as well as the first one is one of my favorite games of all time.

I won’t be getting it at launch though. At this point, I figure I’ve waited basically eight years for this game that another couple of months isn’t going to hurt me.
